About Marrawuddi Arts & Culture
Marrawuddi Arts and Culture is a not-for-profit Aboriginal art centre nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, housed in the repurposed Jabiru Bakery. We extend a warm welcome to tour groups, independent travellers, and Jabiru locals alike, inviting them to explore our gallery while enjoying a delightful up of Campos coffee in our cafe.
As an art centre owned and governed by the Mirarr Traditional Owners, our mission is to support artists from diverse disciplines, including painting, screen-printing, weaving, photography, and sculpture. We proudly offer a dedicated studio workspace, allowing artists to immerse themselves in their creative process.
At Marrawuddi, we take pride in our ethical approach to purchasing Aboriginal art, recognising its utmost importance. As members of the Indigenous Art Code and ANKA (Arnhem, Northern and Kimberley Artists), we advocate for and support Aboriginal artists and Art Centres across Northern Australia. We encourage our visitors to join us in making responsible shopping choices, and we provide a guide to ethical purchasing here.
Embracing the spirit of intergenerational exchange and learning, Marrawuddi Arts and Culture serves as a place where traditional materials, like pandanus, bush dye, and bark, are gather during regular bush trips, and workshops are facilitated to nurture skill development.
The name “Marrawuddi” itself holds significance, as it translates to “White Belly Sea-Eagle” in the Kundjeyhmi language. Join us in celebrating the rich cultural heritage and artistic expression that flourished within our art centre!

Cafe
At the front of Marrawuddi Arts & Culture is our cafe. The cafe is open daily, providing coffee from Campos and cold refreshments. Stop by, enjoy a cuppa while exploring the gallery at Marrawuddi Arts and Culture.
Please note: the coffee machine is turned off one hour prior to Marrawuddi closing (3pm during the week and 1pm on the weekends).
